HAIR CARE TIPS

Natural and coily hair can be very dry and tend to tangle a lot. For these reasons, it requires proper care. The risk of breakage is big if you don't adopt  good habits. Here some tips to promote hydration, growth and limit hair breakage :

  • Hydrate your hair EVERY day. Use a spray bottle and adopt the LOC method.

L: Liquid (water)
O: Oil
C: Cream (moisturizing butter)

The LOC method is a routine for moisturizing and hydrating your hair. The oil and the moisturizer will create a film all along the hair shaft and thus seal in the hydration and prevent breakage.

  • Detangle your hair only when it is damp, NOT dry

Use a spray bottle filled with mineral water and oils of your choice. Spray on the hair, being careful not to wet it completely. This will allow you to work on your damp hair and detangle it more easily.

  • When detangling your hair, use a wide tooth combs
The wide tooth help ventilate the hair deeply, and remove tangles without breaking the hair. Divide each section into equal parts. The division of the hair in parts makes it easier to detangle each section carefully while avoiding knots and split ends. Start with the ends and go up gently. If you start from the roots, it breaks the hair and creates knots.

  • Use a silk pillowcase or a silk hair scarf at night

Cotton pillowcases and sheets are responsible for your tangled, brittle and electric hair when you wake up because the strands of hair cling to the fiber of the fabric. Instead, opt for a silk pillowcase where your hair will slide on without risking damage. No more spiky hair and frizz. Your hair retains its softness and suppleness.

  • Do A LOT of protective hairstyles

Protective hairstyles allow you to no longer manipulate your hair and protect it from external aggressions. Its primary goal is above all to limit hair breakage.
